Madagascar has just added a new category of electronic visa, enabling tourists to stay longer on the island.
Since the reactivation of the service in April 2023, the e-Visa “only” allows international tourists to stay 60 days in Madagascar.
But good news for travelers planning a longer stay on the island, they now have a new e-Visa category at their disposal.
Tourists applying for an online visa for Madagascar can now select a 90-day e-Visa.
The price of the e-Visa for a stay of up to 90 days in Madagascar is US$55 or €50.
When it was activated in May 2019, the e-Visa application portal for Madagascar already offered this type of e-Visa, until it was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
What types (and prices) of electronic visas does Madagascar offer ?
On the government portal evisamada-mg.com, the Malagasy authorities offer tourists four types of single-entry electronic visa, with prices depending on the length of stay required:

Within 72 hours of completion of the visa application form and online payment of the ministerial fee, the applicant receives by e-mail an electronic travel authorization to be printed out, or stored digitally, for presentation to immigration officers on arrival.
