Belarus: visa-free entry for 35 European countries

Until December 31, 2024, Belarus grants a 30-day visa exemption to citizens of 35 European countries for entry by air and land.

Since July 19, 2024, citizens from 35 European countries and territories can travel to Belarus without a visa, whether by air or land.

“In order to further demonstrate the openness and peacefulness of our country, its commitment to the principles of good-neighbourliness, as well as to facilitate inter-human contacts and improve freedom of movement, the President of the Republic of Belarus has supported the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state bodies to establish a procedure for temporary visa-free entry, exit and stay in the Republic of Belarus through all road and railway checkpoints for the citizens of 35 European countries”, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

This exceptional visa-free travel measure to Belarus will be in effect until December 31, 2024.

Citizens of the countries affected by this visa exemption can therefore enter and exit Belarus through all international land and air checkpoints upon presentation of a travel document valid for at least 90 days after the planned date of departure from the country (excluding diplomatic, official, special, or equivalent passports) and stay in the country for up to 30 days from the date of entry.

Visitors arriving without a visa can transit in Belarus, including through air checkpoints, to third countries, except Russia.

As explained by the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, travelers can enter the country without a visa an unlimited number of times but can only benefit from this travel facilitation for up to 90 days per calendar year.
