Pakistan is continuing to modernize its immigration procedures.
Following an update rolled out on February 25 to the Pak Identity mobile application (Pak-ID Mobile-App), travelers holding a valid visa can now complete their disembarkation card digitally, directly from their smartphone.
Previously distributed onboard aircraft or available upon arrival at Pakistani airports, this mandatory formality is now gradually shifting to a paperless format. The goal is to streamline entry procedures and reduce reliance on paper forms.
This new feature, accessible exclusively through the official app available on iOS and Android and developed by the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), allows travelers to complete and submit their Digital Disembarkation Card in just a few steps.
Disembarkation Card in Pakistan: a process now centralized in the Pak Identity app

According to the user guide published on Pakistan’s official online visa portal, travelers with a valid visa must first log in to the app, access their “Inbox,” and then click on “Fill Disembarkation” to begin the process.

They are then asked to provide several personal and travel-related details:
- Full name
- Passport number
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Visa number
- Flight number
- Date of arrival in Pakistan
- Duration of stay (in days)
- Email address
- Vaccination status
Once the application is submitted, a confirmation message appears on the screen: “Application Submitted Successfully.”
After completing the form, travelers can return to their “Inbox” to download their digital disembarkation card.

This document must be presented upon arrival, along with other required supporting documents.
Toward the gradual end of paper forms onboard?
Before this update, airlines routinely distributed paper forms to passengers during the flight. These could also be completed at the airport, although travelers were encouraged to fill them out in advance to speed up entry procedures.
The digitalization of this process could eventually reduce, or even eliminate, the distribution of these physical forms, in line with broader efforts to simplify procedures and save time for both travelers and authorities.
Upon arrival in Pakistan, international passengers must still carry valid travel documents, including a valid passport and, where applicable, an electronic visa (e-Visa).
The disembarkation card, now in digital format, remains a mandatory requirement, except for certain categories of travelers, such as holders of an “Overseas Pakistani” card.
Depending on the situation, a vaccination certificate may also be required for passengers arriving from areas identified by international authorities as posing public health risks.
