Until September 30, 2025, Gabon is facilitating entry for foreign visitors by launching a free tourist e-Visa issued within 48 hours.
As part of the second edition of its “Caravane Touristique” (Tourist Caravan), scheduled for July 15 to September 15, 2025, Gabon has announced the launch of a new digital platform for issuing electronic tourist visas (e-Visas).
This portal allows foreign nationals to obtain a tourist e-Visa in less than 48 hours, free of charge, for all applications submitted between July 1 and September 30, 2025.

Objectives: to promote tourism and modernize entry procedures in Gabon
Gabon’s Minister of Sustainable Tourism and Handicrafts, Pascal Ogowe Siffon, and his counterpart in the Interior, Hermann Immongault, officially announced the launch of the free tourist e-Visa at a press conference held on June 30, 2025, in Libreville.
According to the authorities, this digital system aims to “simplify entry formalities into Gabon and support the country’s tourism promotion efforts, particularly in the context of the second edition of the Caravane Touristique of Gabon.”
Described as “simple, fast, and 100% online,” this system is part of a drive to modernize administrative services and enhance Gabon’s international appeal.
The ministers explained that this initiative has three main objectives: “to modernize the reception of foreign visitors, secure tourist flows, and promote Gabon’s national heritage.”

- Validate the application.
Another e-Visa portal for various reasons for staying in Gabon
In addition to this temporary platform dedicated to the Tourist Caravan, Gabon also has the portal evisa.dgdi.ga, which is intended for electronic visa applications for several reasons (tourism, business, family or friendly visits, etc.).
This portal is exclusively for travelers arriving by air via Léon Mba International Airport in Libreville, and remains the permanent one-stop shop for most other categories of e-Visas.
