As of March 20, 2025, citizens of 67 countries can apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) to travel to Belarus. Find out everything you need to know about this new online process.

In a world where digitalization is redefining international travel, Belarus is taking a decisive step forward with the introduction of its electronic visa (e-Visa).

As announced last December, as of March 20, 2025, travelers from 67 eligible countries can apply for their visa online, marking a turning point in the country’s policy of openness.

While visa-free until December 31, 2025, European Union countries are also included in the list of qualifying countries for the Belarusian e-Visa.

A digital system to simplify travel procedures in Belarus

With the introduction of the e-visa, travelers from the following 67 countries can bypass traditional consular procedures by submitting their application directly via the official e-pasluga.by platform or via the “E-Pasluga” mobile app available on Google Play, Huawei AppGallery, and AndroidRuStore:

  • Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, South Korea, Spain, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vanuatu, and the Vatican.

As explained by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, “an E-visa is a single-entry individual visa. It is issued for a period not exceeding 30 days. Depending on the purpose of travel to Belarus entry e-visas are issued for a business trip; participation in sporting, cultural, scientific, educational events and internships; private affairs; tourism”.

The e-Visa application must be made at least 7 calendar days before the desired date of entry into Belarus.

After creating a personal account on the E-Pasluga portal, e-Visa applicants must fill in:

  • their passport details;
  • their home address;
  • some professional details;
  • their address of stay in Belarus.

No documents need to be uploaded online: there’s no need to scan a passport, passport photo or letter of invitation.

After completing the online form, applicants must pay the e-Visa issuance fee. “E-visa consular fee doesn’t differ from a consular fee for a traditional visa placed in the passport,” announce the Belarusian authorities.

Electronic visa issuance fees

In addition to the following ministerial fees, payable by Visa or Mastercard, an “internet-acquiring and service fee” of €6 is charged for the issuance of the e-Visa, regardless of the applicant’s age or nationality.

  • €35: for citizens of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, as well as stateless persons residing in Estonia, and non-citizens of Latvia;

  • €0: for children under 14 years of age and citizens of other states, non-citizens of Latvia and stateless persons permanently residing in Estonia.

How to use the e-Visa in Belarus

7 calendar days after online submission (no express deadline offered at present), the visa is to be retrieved from the applicant’s personal account.

The approved e-Visa must be printed (or stored digitally), presented on entry to Belarus and retained for the duration of the stay.

In addition to the e-Visa, travelers must have a passport, valid for at least 90 days after the e-Visa expiry date and containing at least one blank page, and proof of medical/repatriation insurance with coverage of at least 10,000 euros.

Entry to Belarus with an e-visa is possible at all international checkpoints, including Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev and Vitebsk airports, as well as at the country’s road and rail checkpoints.

When calculating the length of stay allowed in Belarus with a 30-day e-Visa, it should be borne in mind that days of arrival and departure are considered full days of stay.
