From August 14, 2024, tourists and business travelers from 126 countries will benefit from free visas to visit Pakistan. Discover the list of countries concerned.
Last July, Pakistani authorities announced upcoming changes to their visa policies, including a significant waiver of visa fees for visitors from 126 countries.
According to Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, “this easing of the visa regime will help make Pakistan an attractive destination for investments and tourism”.
During a press conference in Islamabad today, Federal Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, unveiled this new visa policy aimed at simplifying procedures for citizens of many countries, “which will significantly reduce the bureaucracy and delays that have previously hindered tourist arrivals”.
He stated that starting tomorrow, August 14, 2024, the electronic visa (e-Visa) fees for visitors from 126 countries will be abolished, and the application process will be significantly streamlined. Indeed, for these nationalities, the visa will be issued free of charge for either tourism or business purposes, and a 90-day visa will be granted within 24 hours.
The minister also announced a new online visa application form that now contains only 30 questions, compared to nearly a hundred previously.
Finally, citizens of the Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar) will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival in Pakistan by simply presenting a passport.

To benefit from this new measure of free tourist or business visas and express delivery, citizens of eligible countries must select the “Visa Prior to Arrival” option.

Hi good evening I’m hong kong citizen hong kong passport holder do I need travel to pakistan stil I need visa are visa on arrival on pakistan Air port please give me a infmaction thanks for your kindness and support
Unfortunately, I applied before the free Visa was available.
It has been six weeks now and not a word from these morons.
I can’t even apply for the free visa as my application is “in-process”
I have sent several messages to enquire and have not received the courtesy of a responce. As a Canadian I would think it is a simple process.
I find it difficult to imagine a response in 24hrs with the free Visa given my experience.
Anyway, I have a backup plan and will spend my tourist dollars in India instead.
I am even thinking to file a fraud complaint with my credit card company.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif should fire these clowns.
It’s probably Shebaz Sharif that stole your money!
very sad i am sorry for this because i am pakistani
I heard its false news. is it true free visa for Bangladesh?
It’s fake news
Dear Bilal,
It’s totally a true news.
On the Pakistani government portal, when you select the nationality “Bangladesh” and choose “Visa Prior to Arrival”, you can apply for a free 3-month multiple-entry visa.
Hi, I’m not sure it’s how true it is. I tried to apply today it’s showing 60 usd for Canadian . I applied in July I already paid 60 usd. But my application canceled. I need to download invitation letter but there website page wasn’t working . I tried to massage too. Nothing happened. I need to pay twice to get visas. But. In news it says no visa fees for Canadian.
Hi,
Have you selected the “Visa Prior to Arrival” option?
This is the free visa category and not the “Tourist Visa” or “Business Visa”.
The website “Visa Prior to Arrival” is not working, I can’t even open it to apply, it blocked by IP address.
But why India’s name is not in this list?🤣
Bangladeshi passport holder can have on arrival visa or on need to apply e-visa?
Citizens of Bangladesh must apply for an e-Visa before traveling to Pakistan. Only GCC nationals can obtain a visa on arrival.
I just heard from nadra member attaullah tarar announcing that gulf countries residents and get visa on arrival, please clarify for me, and is our passport and passport size photo and visa copy enough for Bangladeshis or do they need more documents??
