India has added several new entry points, by air, sea, and land, that are now open to travelers holding an electronic visa (e-Visa).
This move strengthens the e-Visa program, which has become one of the country’s key tools in promoting international tourism.
The decision follows recent enhancements to the e-Visa system, including the extension of the tourist e-Visa validity period from 30 days to four months. The goal is to offer travelers greater flexibility while improving the distribution of visitor flows across the country.
New arrival points in India for travelers with an e-Visa
The expansion of e-Visa–eligible entry points applies to air, maritime, and land transportation alike.
These new arrival options give travelers more freedom when planning their itineraries and make it easier to access strategic or tourist regions that are sometimes far from traditional international hubs.
